PROGRAMME NOTE

I have spent almost a year away from Aotearoa. Reflecting on this time often comes with panged nostalgia and overwhelming gratitude. Grappling with the conflict of loving your current life but missing the familiarity of the old is a strange sensation. This piece is dedicated to the birdsong, the saturated greenery, the sound of the moana, and the smell of dried saltwater on skin.
